Summary
The Sub Aviator Systems LLC team, visited Lake Tahoe during the Spring of 2009 to conduct exhaustive tests of the new safety and operational modifications made to its revolutionary new Super Aviator submersible. The personal submarine can “fly” like an airplane to depths of 600 feet.
Underwater flight training was conducted for four students and over 20 distinguished VIPs from the underwater and deep submergence world. They were invited to both witness, and take part in the dive operations.
A series of dives were scheduled to examine the historical site of the 60 year old wreck of the SS Tahoe. The team was to descend to approximately 400 feet as an Explorers Club Flag Expedition. Unfortunately time, heavy weather, and extremely poor visibility precluded participation by Explorers Club members. A Flag Expedition that will meet Explorers Club's standards will be rescheduled for 2010.
